About Melissa

Melissa started this adventure over ten years ago while living in Cairo, Egypt. Entranced by the fabric souq, she started sewing to manage her addiction to gorgeous textiles.

Melissa is increasingly inspired by the colors and experiences of growing up Latina in the borderlands. She loves color, movement, and maximalism.

Melissa’s quilts have hung at the National Quilt Museum, International Quilt Market, and QuiltCon, and have been featured in numerous quilting publications, including Make Modern Magazine, Simply Moderne, and Curated Quilts. She has taught workshops and given lectures to guilds all over the country.

Melissa has lived all over the world with her husband and four kids and currently calls Logan, Utah home.
