Luscious was made for the 2023 Pantone Quilt Challenge. To conceptualize it, I thought through some of my associations of the color magenta- luscious, ripe, sensuous, opulent, juicy, a color that makes my mouth water. While thinking about this, I came across a line drawing by artist and friend Dan Bartholomew (@abstractoons) that held the anticipation and sensuality that I was wanting to convey.

Fabrics used are Konas Pomgranate, Papaya, and Navy. Quilting on fruit is done using Wonderfil flourescent threads and on background using Wonderfil Hologram thread for a bit of sparkle.
